Meet the Hygienists
Lakell Archer, RDH
LaKell graduated from Sheridan College Dental Hygiene School in Sheridan, WY in 2006. She then went on to complete her B.S. in Dental Hygiene at the University of Wyoming in 2007. She worked for 9 years in general dentistry before moving to the Grand Valley in 2015.
LaKell has been part of the PDS team since 2015 and has really enjoyed learning more about the pediatric side of the dental field as well as the energy and excitement the children bring to her work environment.
LaKell, her husband (Dewey), and their daughter (Arizona) spend the weekends enjoying all the recreation western Colorado has to offer! LaKell loves mountain biking, running, weight training, golfing and camping in her spare time! Originally a Wyoming girl, she really enjoys the warmer climate here on the western slope and has settled in to call Fruita home for her family!
Alex Sytsma, RDH
Alex graduated from Sheridan College Dental Hygiene School in Sheridan, WY in 2018. She worked in general dentistry prior to joining the PDS team in February of 2020. Alex has participated in Give Kids A Smile and loves being able to give back to her community. She has a passion for educating and working with kids to help provide them with personalized care.
Alex has a special place in her heart for being on the water, being that she is a Florida girl. She loves the warmer climate that this Grand Valley has to offer, so any chance she gets she is out on the trails hiking, in the middle of a lake paddle boarding, or trying her best on the golf course. Alex is excited to be apart of this community and to call Grand Junction her new home!
Chelsie Vanlandingham
Chelsie graduated from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 2009. She worked in general dentistry until she joined the PDS team in 2021. She is so excited to be working exclusively with children.
