At Pediatric Dental Specialists of Western Colorado, we believe every person deserves compassionate, quality dental care. Unfortunately, children with special needs are at a higher risk of gum disease, oral trauma, and tooth decay and deserve special attention.
If your child has a developmental, congenital, or acquired condition, please know they have a place here at Pediatric Dental Specialists of Western Colorado. They are welcome and will receive exceptional dental care with special consideration to their unique needs.
We know many kids with special needs have heightened oral sensitivity and may find it difficult to wait or sit for long periods of time in the office or the dental chair. Our pediatric dentists and staff are experienced, patient and willing to work with you and your child to make all dental visits as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Please feel free to call ahead or let us know at any time what your child needs to feel comfortable. We are also happy to accommodate special “non-visits” where you and your child come to get familiar with our office and staff. Your child can even play a little in our waiting room as long as you want. Comfort items or special toys are welcome as well. If sedation is necessary, we would be happy to discuss the options for your child with you as well.
